Long Beach Community Design Center hosted a powerful open forum focused on park equity in Greater Long Beach- bringing together community members, youth leaders, design professionals, and academics for a collaborative dialogue on how to create more inclusive, accessible, and abundant green spaces in underserved neighborhoods.

Held at Studio One Eleven, the event sparked meaningful conversations around the importance of equitable access to parks and open spaces. Attendees shared personal stories, local insights, and creative ideas for how we can reimagine and reshape Long Beach’s public spaces to better serve every resident.

The event fostered new relationships and collaboration between community members, local leaders, youth, and professionals from a variety of fields, helping to lay the groundwork for future projects rooted in community needs and lived experiences.(this took place April 2024)
